Burton Leonard Sundial c.1840

This rare and important Sundial originating from 'The Rectory at Copgrove', Burton Leonard, North Yorkshire. Carved in Burton Leonard limestone (the Village's limestone) and discussed in Mrs Alfred Gatty's - "The Book of Sundials 1809-1873" Created for the Rectory house and gardens in 1840 - acquired for our collection with provenance direct from the Estate.
