Dramatic French Wall Fountain ‘Mascaron’ in cast iron made by the Val d'Osne Foundry. c.1850
A wonderful grotesque mask with bull rush leaf crown and hair and fanned-out fish gills on the sides of his cheeks. Based on a mythological water god, probably Poseidon or Neptune.
He could be a dramatic centre piece or wall fountain in any size garden, or even as an object placed in the home.
