An important and monumental Sundial carved and polished from Scottish granite - the deeps reds of Ross and Mull granite for the central column; the base and crown chiselled from silver-grey Peterhead granite from Aberdeenshire. The crowning copper dial is hand-tooled with the legend “Life’s but a shadowe Man’s but dust, This dyall sayes Dy all we must”
