A sophisticated matching pair of Italian mirrors. c.1880
With unusual landscape proportions and curled scrolled carved feet, the mirrors could be positioned standing or hung.
The mirror glass is now foxed delicately and the gilding is soft, luminous and time-worn.
Surmounted by opulent giltwood scrolls and exaggerated acanthus leaves.
They would make perfect “his & hers” mirrors above double bathroom sinks, or add pleasing symmetry to any interior.
Wear appropriate with age.
