A Northern European Coffer c.1550.
The splendid single plank lid with moulded edge tops the gothic carved tracery enhanced front which features delicately carved floral roundels and arched carving.
Reminiscent of the architectural vast arches and rose windows in the great Medieval Cathedrals.
The front is divided into three panels by split turned column appliqués.
Wear appropriate with age.
