A charmingly carved Carrara marble bust depicting an ethereally beautiful rendition of Flora. Late 20th Century on composite stone plinth.
Flora is the Roman Goddess of flowers and the season of Spring, hence Flora’s centrally parted hair is interlaced and woven with a crown of abundant roses, foliage and deeply carved flowers. Her Roman face is refined and serenely elegant and her bust is delicately swathed in a toga as she stands presented upon a circular socle.
Patinated with lichens with perfect wear ready to make a wonderful sculptural statement piece in your garden or interior.
