Original painting by Chloë Holt RCA FRSA. One of the youngest artists ever to be elected a member of the RCA. Winner of the 2012 Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize, Chloe also, in 2010 won the International Lorenzo il Magnifico prize by the Florence Biennale for works on paper.
“The second dog portrait for a wonderful family after I painted their first dog Nia many years ago.
The aim was not only to capture Honey’s physical likeness, but to reflect her energy, her freedom, and the emotional connection she shares with this place.
The painting developed through layered washes, shifting tonal contrasts, and gestural mark-making — echoing movement, memory, and light.
Now framed and at home, the piece sits as a quiet celebration of character, place, and presence.”
