Original painting by artist Chloë Holt RCA FRSA. One of the youngest artists ever to be elected a member of the RCA. Winner of the 2012 Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize, Chloe also, in 2010 won the International Lorenzo il Magnifico prize by the Florence Biennale for works on paper.

Lunar Skies captures an enveloped snowy Winters’ landscape, an milky pale setting sun illuminates peaches and greys in the sky. In this boldly gestural emotive work, the outlines of trees become strong graphic lines, their tree tops soft charcoal clouds. This series of work was painted from her studio window in Knaresborough, one of the highest points in the town overlooking the ruins of the early 12th Century castle and tall cliff sided valley of the River Nidd and its’ distant forests.
