One of the youngest artists ever to be elected a member of the RCA. Winner of the 2012 Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize, Chloe also, in 2010 won the International Lorenzo il Magnifico prize by the Florence Biennale for works on paper.
“My kind antique dealer friends smuggled leafy lemons direct from Italy for me this Summer. They call out in their celebration of distant warmer climes. They are, heat, sun, happiness and joy! Placed within a simple medieval pewter bowl in this contemplative space they feel symbolic. I painted en plein air in the bright sharp sunshine, dramatic contrasts and luminous light bounce around the still life which emerges from the shadows.” - Chloë Holt RCA FRSA
