A matching pair of enchanting terracotta Lion corbels probably made by Doulton c.1890.

These would make very special decorative interior pieces but built into a walled garden or purely hung as a work of art.

Created from terracotta, the crouching lions great paws support their growling maned faces. The lions are set within scrolling corbel brackets adorned with classical ornamented flowers, laurel leaves and a delicate surface patination.

One has a firing crack and a historical repair to the lower shell, neither taking away from the integrity of these beautiful pieces, unusual to find as a pair.
