A captivating pair of 18th Century carved wooden Dutch Stage Figures depicting Fisherfolk.
These highly unique pieces would have been created to be attached to a Travelling Showman’s Stage Set, or a musical organ.
Designed to be dismantled and packed away when on the road, then reassembled and slotted together when the show was to be performed.
The couple are wearing traditional Dutch costumes from the 18th Century.
The back of the figures are hollowed and marked with numerals to match their desired placements.
