A wonderful English burr walnut mirrored Credenza c.1870
A slim and elegant original serpentine shaped white marble top surmounts a serpentine shaped moulded cabinet.
Carved walnut scrolls flanked three mirrors set into three swing doors, there is no key but the piece is unlocked. Set on a burr walnut serpentine shaped plinth.
The craftsmanship is fine and it was most certainly made by a very high quality cabinet maker and would have been a commissioned piece. The colour and patination are perfect.
The piece is slim enough to use in a hallway or a small space, adding extra practical storage and the mirrors throwing light back into the room adding a sense of extra space.
