A superb hand-crafted terracotta urn by renowned 19th century atelier sculptor Jean Garouste, Castelnaudary, Southwestern France. This urn is in perfect condition, which is very rare for pieces of this kind. It bears a clear stamp of the maker. With Lion’s heads, scrolled handles and foliage swags. It is simply magnificent.
