An early rare ornate Medieval limestone cross finial. This beautiful limestone cross would once have stood upon the apex of a Church roof. This rare example was salvaged and sympathetically restored by a recently retired Master Stonemason who kept the piece in his private collection for many years. The cross would have originated from a Church in the Newark/ Nottingham area. Delicately carved, it is an early Medieval English artefact and from a fascinating period in English history.
