A large and impressive Scottish Country House Stick or umbrella stand c.1880
Created from cast iron and painted white, this piece is unusually large scale. It features a heraldic rampant lion, thistle heads and the motto “NEMO IMPUNE LAGESSIT” (No-one will hurt me with impunity).
There are two compartments for standing sticks and umbrellas, and the drip bowls at the base are removable for cleaning.
The perfect piece for a grand hallway.
