A superb original example of a LEFCO (Leeds Fire Clay Company Ltd) Stoneware Arts & Crafts Sundial c.1900
The company was established in 1889, incorporating Burmantofts and five other Yorkshire pottery companies. LEFCO existed for a very small period of time for a company of its stature, creating pieces for under 70 years. Now highly sought after and collected.
The English glazed stoneware was retailed by Liberty London and used on major architectural projects around the United Kingdom.
