A wonderful matching pair of gilt Parisian Pier Mirrors c.1880. With provenance direct from the Country House, Hatley St George in Torquay, Devon from the Sotheby’s House sale of 1980. The mirror feature two large mirror plates in bevelled glass, their gilded frames surmounted by carved Eagles terminals and Maidens Heads within abundant scrolls of flora and foliage.
It’s so rare to find such a large matching pair of Parisian mirrors, a unique opportunity to own these with wonderful provenance.
