A striking pair of antique ‘Tridacna Giras’ giant clam shells, displayed placed upon weathered stone plinths. Naturally sculptural, with deep, undulating fluting and excellent surface detail, these substantial shells make highly decorative and unusual garden or interior features.
At least 100 years old, the shells display deeply worn patination, with traces of old lichen and mineral accretions that lend an organic, timeworn character.
A rare and evocative addition of natural history to the garden, orangery, or interior.
Please note: Associated pair 19th-century stone pedestals available separately.
Height including plinths is 58cm approximately. Size below is for each shell.
- Width: 64 cm (25.2″)
- Height: 29 cm (11.42″)
- Depth: 45 cm (17.72″)
