A divine pair of early Venetian Baroque pricket candlesticks. c.1760. Intricately carved, and silver gilded over a sangue di bue red bole. The top of the pricket spike is surmounted by rare embossed sheet metal drip-pans with out-flared fleur-de-lis borders. Raised on baluster stems, embellished with leaves and reeded urn knops on triform bases crested with swirling acanthus foliage. The perfect addition to your Christmas table, but stunning all year round! See photographs for condition.
