Original sculpture by artist Sharon Griffin. Stoneware, slips, engobes, oxides and glaze. High fired terracotta. “She is vulnerability, her scars speak out about the songs of the earth. Her voice is given to her by listening to the deer. She is quiet and is full of hope. The part of her that is child cannot speak out so she takes on the powers of the animals, she listens to the signs and hears the wisdom of the earth. Herstory is linked to the woods.”
