A pair of animated delightfully cherubic and cheeky Fauns perched on plinths. Mid 20th Century.
This flute playing pair of near identical musicians seated upon associated plinths, with their cloven hooves, curly tails, gentle pursed lips look as though they could simply put down their instruments and leap, frolick and dance in your garden.
With beautifully crisp faces and intricate hairstyles woven with fruits and fauna, they are captured with their fingers poised between notes.
One Faun even has a remarkable dress of natural moss! Time-worn to the point of perfection, they will blend seamlessly into your garden and look as though they have always been there and will never leave!
