A sublime classically formed Venetian Font c.1750 in Rosa Antico Sicilian Marble.
Hand-carved in a predominantly pink marble called ‘Rosa Antico Sicily’ a brecciated marble with limestone clasts of indefinite shape, punctuated by the presence of whitish veins and bodies of Onyx.
This Sicilian marble is often used to contain Holy Water in the architecture of ancient historical dwelling - Private Villas, Chapels and Churches within Italy and Sicily.
A beautiful addition to any home as object of art, or as a water feature in your garden.
