An abundantly beautiful Venetian Rococo lacquered tray. c.1750.
Decorated with gilded, embossed and carved gesso upon a wooden base.
Featuring exceptional hand-painted polychromed bouquet of roses, scrolls and acanthus leaves within a playful interlocking asymmetrical frame.
The back of the tray is also still in its original chromium green oxide coloured dusky paint.
